Submission Guidelines

  • Submit your abstract by creating a username and password in the CTOS abstract submission system. Please note that the abstract submission system account is different from your CTOS membership account.
  • Abstracts will be accepted in English only
  • An international panel of reviewers will review all abstracts anonymously
  • There is no fee for submitting an abstract
  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts you may submit (however an individual may not be offered more than 1 oral presentation)
  • Parts of the Abstract
    • Title/Body (Title(all caps)
    • Objective, Methods, Results and Conclusion are required
    • Properties (Presentation Type, Category, Permission to Use, Attendance are required)
    • Authors (Author Financial Disclosures and Affiliation are required)
    • Disclosures( FDA disclosure is required)
    • Length of the abstract is 4000 characters
    • Number of Authors is 25 max.
    • Size of the images (everything that you listed is “counted” as images) is not important, as long as the file size is not over 500,000 KB. Images and tables are not included in the character count.
  • Selecting presentation type of Oral, Poster or Young Investigator does not guarantee you will be assigned as selected. The final presentation type is determined by the Scientific Program Committee
  • Abstracts may be entered directly into the site or copied and pasted.
  • Abstracts can be saved as drafts until you are ready to submit. Please make sure you submit your abstract since drafts will not be reviewed or considered for submission.
  • Please proofread your submission, authors and affiliations prior to submitting the abstract as this is how it will appear in the final program.
  • Once submitted, you will no longer be able to make edits to the abstract. If you need to make changes prior to the submission deadline, please contact ctos@ctos.org
  • Please keep your seven (7) digit Abstract Control ID available in case you have any inquiries related to your abstract. This is the method we use to identify and access your abstract.
  • Every abstract accepted as an oral or poster presentation must have a corresponding author who must attend the meeting.
  • Submitting an abstract for presentation at the 2018 CTOS Annual Meeting does not constitute registration for the meeting. Abstract presenters must register to attend the meeting through the CTOS website.
